Hīkoi mō te Tiriti is making waves, not just physically across the motu but online, too.
On Sunday, Te Hīkoi mō te Tiriti kicked off its nine-day journey with events designed to tautoko the protection of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
From powerful kōrero, waiata and haka, videos of the marching movement have flooded social media.
The journey started in the far North on Sunday, with the Hīkoi making its way from Te Rerenga Wairua/ Cape Reinga to Whangārei.
From our youngest tamariki to generations all walks of life, people have been coming together to be part of the kaupapa. They began the convoy by car and foot, marching in the early hours of the morning on day one.
As the Hīkoi reached Kaitaia, a clip of their powerful welcome went viral.
On day two, the Hīkoi arrived in Tunatahi/ Dargaville, welcomed by Te Roroa and Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara, before marching through town to the Kaipara District Council building.
Two hours later, the march was back on the road, heading to Tāmaki Makaurau/ Auckland’s North Shore, where they’d begin day three.
Yesterday, the numbers were out in full force to tautoko the march across the Harbour Bridge in Tāmaki Makaurau.
While many carried signs and Tino Rangatiratanga flags, others got creative, like TikToker @aammmaazz, who showed up in a custom DIY Tino Rangatiratanga jacket.
As they journeyed across the bridge, crossing traffic shared their toutoko in the form of car horns and the odd mana wave.
Thousands joined from land and even in a waka.
The Hīkoi has been compared to Dame Whina Cooper's 1975 Land March, with Instagram page @tuhonodesign sharing a special recording showing footage from both movements.
Today, the Hīkoi is heading from the Waikato region to Te Waiariki/ Bay of Plenty, ending in Rotorua.
This morning has seen the group march through Hamilton CBD.
If you want to keep up with the latest from the march, Instagram page @toitu_te_tiriti has been sharing the latest information and highlights from the Hīkoi.
The group are expected to reach Parliament in Wellington on Tuesday, 19, November.
