The top of the Awatere Valley in Marlborough has had the worst drought it's seen since 1936 but Steve Satterthwaite of Muller Station shares how his team overcame these difficulties.
Despite the harsh conditions, he says the station's strategic stocking and innovative grazing techniques have led to a remarkable transformation, turning barren landscapes into lush fields.
Satterthwaite expresses his pleasure at the high yields of merino wool that have come from this hard work, with the wool's micron count impressively reduced from 23.9 to 18.5.
Looking ahead, he is set to host a Field Day on November 22, where attendees will witness firsthand the harmonious blend of sheep and cattle farming that underpins Muller Station's ongoing success.
