Farming's Digital Defense: Combating $200 Million Annual Cyber Threats With FMG

"Be proactive. Understand the risks, take action now, and protect your business," France advises.

FMG has recently launched an online cyber safety learning module that aims to help upskill their clients and anyone else who wants to better understand how to stay safe online.

FMG Advice Product Manager Abby France discusses the escalating issue of online scams targeting farmers, with New Zealand losing an alarming $198 million annually to such threats.

She emphasises the critical importance of cybersecurity in the agricultural sector, highlighting vulnerabilities in digital farming systems like automated irrigation and cow wearables.

France explains how the online learning module offers guidance on implementing strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and having a response plan in place.
