One uncle has pulled a clever move, outsmarting the whole fam by getting them to cough up their fair share for his driving services.
He’s only gone and sussed himself a portable EFTPOS machine, charging the family for all the drop-offs and pick-ups he’s doing.
“Look at this, LOOK!” one member of the whānau yelled, filming the machine and cracking up at the shock of copping a twenty dollar charge.
“Ei, this is for all the times,” uncle quickly shut her down for being cheeky.
She pushed things even further after the transaction was approved, telling her uncle to “transfer the money back”. But all she got was a receipt to remind her it’s cheaper to walk next time.
The video has gone viral on TikTok, raking in almost half a million views and hundreds of comments in just 24 hours.
Honestly, it’s a incredibly smart play from old unc. Might have to invest in my own and pull it out next time my mates test their luck on riding passenger.
People are equally as impressed with the idea, with one commenter writing: “Genius, lemme write this down.”

Others reckon uncle might not be rolling in the cash despite charging Uber-like prices.
