Heard of 'Roblox'? It's a massively popular online world-building game that will have you feeling waves of nostalgia for 'The Sims' or 'Stardoll', if you were ever that way inclined (me af).
These days, though, Roblox's reach is extending far beyond its original target demo, with a game that brings out your inner fashionista while taking you back to the good old days.
It's called 'Dress To Impress' (also known as 'DTI'), where you can style your avatar's outfits, makeup, and hair, before other players rate on a scale of five. You then walk down a themed runway with your chosen poses. It's giving major 'Project Runway' vibes.
Singer Madison Beer, who frequently live-streams her gaming sessions, said the game is "healing parts of her that miss playing with Barbies". Even though she's a massive pop star, her phone camera roll is legit FULL of screenshots of all her fave looks from the game, which is honestly iconic and relatable.
One 'Dress To Impress' player pointed out: "I am a guy and I loved playing with my girl friend's Barbie and Bratz dolls but was never allowed to own them" echoing Madison's sentiment that the game is "healing".
Another agreed, saying 'DTI' "is hands down the best dress up game I've played in my 27 years on this earth".
The higher your fits are rated, the more in-game money you receive to purchase more items. *Sigh*, if only it were that easy in real life.
The game is free to play on the Roblox app, but proceed with caution as there will be eight-year-olds roasting your fits in the chat.
