Jeremy Allen White has shared how he's extensively researching Bruce Springsteen's career in preparation to play the legend on the big screen.
White will portray the ‘Glory Days’ singer in the upcoming biopic ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’, which follows the creation of Springsteen’s 1982 album ‘Nebraska’.
News of the film broke earlier this year, and White has now let out his secrets to preparing for the role, including some deep rabbit holes of footage and even getting some advice from the legend Springsteen himself.
White told GQ magazine: “I’ve got a really talented group of people helping me train vocally, musically, to get ready for this thing.”
He added that Springsteen has been “super supportive of the project,” sharing: “I’ve had some access to him, and he’s just the greatest guy.”
White also said he has been knee-deep in footage to study Springsteen's voice throughout his career.
“It’s really great to go down a YouTube rabbit hole and find him at all these different periods in his life,” White said. “To listen to his speaking voice as well as his singing voice.”
He added: “That’s kind of been the deal, just listening to him a lot and watching him a lot. It’s been really fun preparing.”
Following the news of the biopic, Springsteen had to shut down speculation he may be retiring.
During his concert in Philadelphia back in August, Springsteen assured fans he was “not going anywhere”.
"We've been around for 50 f**king years, and we ain't quitting!" he said to the crowd.
"We ain't doing no farewell tour bulls**t! Jesus Christ!” he added. "Farewell to what? A thousand people screaming your name? Get the hell out. I ain't going anywhere!"
It seems fans can look forward to the new biopic and a whole lot more to come from Springsteen.
