New Chair Leads NZ's Catchment Groups Toward A Sustainable Future

"These groups are ground up, about grassroots coming together to address their own issues," Ensor explains.

Ben Ensor, recently elected as the inaugural chair of Aotearoa New Zealand Catchment Communities (ANZCC), is on a mission to unify approximately 250 catchment groups across the nation.

He says ANZCC aims to create a consistent funding model and facilitate resource sharing, avoiding extra bureaucracy while advocating for these groups.

With ANZCC serving as a conduit between catchment groups and government agencies, Ensor explains the organisation hopes to enhance communication and support for vital environmental projects.
