Despite most pests in New Zealand inhabiting the ground, Heliventures Owner and operator Craig McMillan talks to Dom about aerial pest control, also touching on fertiliser spraying and firefighting tactics. 

Since its foundation in 2011, he says Heliventures has expanded its fleet significantly, providing crucial services across two bases in Oamaru and Twizel.

McMillan details the use of thermal imaging and the 'Judas' wallaby initiative to combat the escalating wallaby problem. 

Additionally, he highlights the meticulous process of helicopter modernization, likening it to "Granddad's axe," explaining how continuous upgrades ensure safety and efficiency.
