Kaylee Bell makes music history following massive New Zealand tour

What a way to finish a 17-date headline tour!

Kaylee Bell has topped up a phenomenal few weeks touring New Zealand, to return to her hometown and receive an equally phenomenal award!

The country pop singer-songwriter had been completing her 17-date 'Boots 'N All' tour across Aotearoa when she was presented with a plaque for her 'Red EP' reaching a certified Gold in Australia.

It marks the first time in 20 years that a female Australasian country artist's EP has reached Gold, and the first time an independent female country artist has claimed the title.

The singer was in her hometown of Waimate when she was gifted her gold album.

Posting a gallery to her social media accounts, she wrote "In my hometown where this journey all began, after our last show of this incredible nationwide headline tour that so many of you have been a part of, my NZ booking agent Brent Eccles awarded me with this plaque that says the 'Red EP' featuring my single 'Keith' has been certified ARIA GOLD in Australia!!!"

"This blows me away for a lot of reasons as I am self managed and it makes me the 'First Female Country Artist in Australasia' to be accredited Gold for a Single or EP in 20 years since the legend herself Kasey Chambers and the 'First EVER Independent Female Country Artist in Australasia' to do so."

"I hope this inspires anyone with a dream to know they can go and make it happen for themself!!"

The singer sold out a number of her shows on her 'Boots 'N All' NZ tour, and got to tick off a bucket list dream performing at Auckland's iconic Powerstation venue.

"Seriously this tour has been one of the best things I've ever been part of and these shows hands down, the most fun!!!"

"I've loved meeting so many of you, hearing you sing my songs back to me word for word, the posters and cards you made, the meet and greets, watching you all fall in love with Cassie Henderson, first time concert goers, the mosh pits, the beautiful venues and theatres we had the chance to play, Powerstation bucket list show, seeing you dressed in merch and feeling like we are making memories together that will last a life time."

Kaylee Bell will be heading back to the States to continue songwriting in Nashville, as well as heading to Australia to perform at a massive country festival alongside other big names Morgan Wallen and Kasey Chambers.
