Jim Harré's Toast To 50 Years Of Wine + Aviation

"It was never really like a hard day's work," Jim reflects on his unique career.

Air New Zealand has announced the retirement of Jim Harré after a 50-year career in what some may believe is the greatest job on earth, as the airline's wine ambassador.

Starting as a flight attendant in 1974, Harré delves into his journey and the path that led him to merge his passion for wine with aviation.

He also explains the role he played in the national carrier's bold move to serve only New Zealand wines on flights, a decision that elevated the nation's wine prestige.

Harré discusses some of the highlights of his last half-century of work, what a general day in the life of Air New Zealand's Wine Ambassador looks like and his plans for the future.
