Georgia Lines goes to even the score against Heardle king Flynny

Kiwi singer/songwriter Georgia Lines is back with a new song, new haircut, and new Heardle determination!

Georgia Lines is terrified.

"I've never had a real human child, but I'm in the process of birthing this..." she tells us.

That's because her debut album, 'The Rose of Jericho' is about to make its arrival to the world - out June 7th! Interestingly, the album title is inspired by a flower that "you can't kill."

"The Rose of Jericho is one that survives months of dehydration. It's not a pretty flower. It's quite an ugly thing. But I just loved the sentiment."

And her new powerful and astoundingly honest new single 'Wayside' is here to accompany its big release.

Co-written with Grammy-nominated producer Leroy Clampitt, who has worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Madison Beer and Laufey, Georgia explains that "'Wayside' delves into the journey of facing obstacles and uncertainties, urging against complacency and not settling for the easy path."

"It's a reminder to stay strong, keep fighting, and hold onto hope, even when things get tough."?

Georgia will have some tough competition as the Tauranga native is competing in the Best Pop Artist category in this year's Aotearoa Music Awards, against her good friends Foley and Paige.

But before she gets herself on that stage, we needed to put her through the paces of our favourite music quiz - Heardle! Last year she struggled with a spirited but unfortunate 0-4 pants-ing to Flynny. Will she find redemption this time?

Watch her compete in the video above.
