Highly Suspect are headed back to New Zealand on their ‘As Above, So Below’ tour for three shows next week, and we are ampedddd to see the boys again.
The last time Highly Suspect were here in NZ, they played six shows across Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, playing an average of about 16 songs each show while on their Midnight Demon Club tour.
While they were in New Zealand, frontman Johnny Stevens stopped by The Rock HQ for a yarn with Jay and Dunc, where they got talking about what songs he doesn’t like playing live.
Speaking about how the song Lydia was written about an ex-girlfriend, Stevens said “there are times where I won’t play [it], because I just don’t wanna go there.”
He also mentioned, “For Billy is one that I barely ever play.”
We were very lucky last year to have Lydia play at every single NZ show, and even got For Billy at one of their Christchurch shows, and one of their Auckland ones.
Although you can never truly know what the setlist will be until it’s being played out infront of you, we love a bit of setlist speculation, so we’ve had a look at Highly Suspect’s setlist from the last month to give us an idea of what we can maybe expect to see at their NZ gigs.
