Cher's attempt to 'Turn Back Time' goes very wrong in hilarious new Uber Eats ad

Bet she wants to take back the words now!

Cher always sings about what would happen "if I could turn back time"... Turns out, turning back time is a VERY bad idea!

The music icon has made a rare appearance in a new and hilarious ad for delivery service Uber Eats. Titled "Time Machine No, Thyme Yes," a fabulously dressed Cher feels the nostalgic pull of her early pop career. Jumping onto Uber Eats, she makes the unusual request for a Time Machine delivery, hoping to head back to "the '80s."

However, this simple request takes a wrong turn. Instead of the 1980s, Cher is zapped to the dark, muddy streets of the 1680s—perched atop a cannon and utterly bewildered.

And unfortunately for Cher, someone who fabulously looks "both young and old at the same time" is bound to be branded "a witch" by the simple townsfolk.

I'm not a witch, I'm an icon!

You can believe that a witch trial wouldn’t end well for the Believe singer. As she’s strapped to the burning stake, things get even worse when she notices one of the villagers has stolen her bedazzled boots.

It’s not often fans get to see the 78-year-old star in commercials, but as she explained in a press release for Uber Eats Australia & New Zealand, it was the “creativity and hilarity” of the concept which won her over.

I get approached to do commercials all the time – but the creativity and hilarity that Uber Eats presented appealed to me right away.

She shares that while she’s "really proud" of the final product, she jokes, “I sincerely hope Uber will get me back my boots.”
