Getting some practice run in before they hit Auckland's Trusts Arena this Friday, four heavyweight DJs got Sydney pumping with a surprise rave.
UK legends Chase & Status are touring Down Under with Aussie weapon Luude and support from fellow Brit Mozey. After smashing out a Sydney show on Saturday night, the four of them kept the party going by throwing a free pop-up at a pub on Sunday.
On Instagram, Mozey shared a video of him and the Chase and Status fellas behind the decks, as Luude played their collab tune 'On The Block' to a very appreciative-looking crowd.
It was a bit of a moment for Mozey, who has gone from being relatively unknown to playing with some of the world's biggest DNB acts in just two years.
"On stage with Chase and Status in Sydney playing our collab together. What a fucking ridiculous sentence," he wrote in the post's caption.
Commenters are loving it for Mozey, who has built a loyal fanbase by constantly incorporating punters at unique gigs and showing them love (as well as being an unreal DJ).
"The biggest co-sign you could ever get in the world of drum and bass 🙌," wrote one person.
"It's actually too sick to see how humble you are in the company of an idol of yours even when you're one of the best in the scene," a second added.
"The absolute dream brother," said a third.
Chase and Status' only NZ show in Auckland this Friday, featuring all four DJs, is sold out. But anyone who missed out on tickets can now hold out hope for a free gig that could bring even bigger vibes.
The only question is where? Maybe they head to Corogolen like Fred Again did or think of an even better spot (like the George studio).
